Old American arcades

I came across these two photos of American arcades and thought they might be of interest. The first shows an amazing number of machines and the attendants. The second shows some interesting machines. Can anyone tell me what the wall machines are at the back of the photo? There seem to be quite a few of them. Looking again, I don't think they are machines - they look like the boards in old style betting shops but that can't be the case unless this photo was Nevada. Perhaps some sort of lottery cards?? Note the no drinking sign on the left.

Dick Bueschel's "On Location" book from 1993 goes into great detail about what every single machine is in that 1941 arcade photo. Back wall are just two models of basic Exhibit postcard vendors.

Right hand pic on the right, just in front of the pinball machine. Looks like a trade stim shooting game. I have one. It works great. MM
