Going secure - downtime warning
Pennymachines.co.uk will shortly adopt the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) security protocol, so all data between browser and server is transmitted via 128-bit encryption. This offers greater security for sending sensitive information when registering, logging-in etc.
All links to the site (external and internal) will start with https in place of http. Almost certainly, this will entail some downtime over the next few days while I reconfigure links and settings. Please bear with me - for better security (and possibly a slightly higher Google ranking).

My sockets were quite secure until the postman knocked the open case off the rubbish bin while I was working on the car's bonnet latch.
Do you know how many pieces there are in 350 piece socket set?

Re: Going secure - downtime warning
Downtime early today (about 3 hours I think) was caused by main routers going AWOL, affecting all sites at the data centre - not of my doing. Will tackle https in a few days. Other updates progressing.
