Oliver Whales Allwin

Post by coljeep4th »

Hi, I've just been given a penny arcade machine to restore. There are a couple of parts missing. I don't know what they are called unfortunately. One of them is the first part of the coin slots after the coin slot at the top. I know it is roughly a Z shape with a magnet to catch washers etc. The other is a stop bar about 50mm long with a hammer end to it attached to the long vertical bar that moves when the left hand knob is turned.
Not sure if that description is enough but if someone has any of these or knows where I could get them I would be very grateful.

I am guessing the coin chute is like below, which I sold on eBay a couple of months ago as got rid of all my Olly Whales machines and related spares......not sure these come up often though.....I do have one for a Wonders machine, but there has been one on eBay as well for the last two years that may work

That is the coin slot I need. If anyone has one I would be really grateful. I'm sure its beyond me to make one.

Argee
I am pure UK, but my son, daughter-in-law and two grandsons live in Oz.
How did you know?

Still need parts for my allwin. The small part missing not shown in the photo I can make, but the coin chute I need help with.

There are a few Facebook groups you could try posting on. You might get a helpful response, but I feel you will struggle to get an original one as people will hoard parts if they exist like this... I would make something to allow the coins to go down as a temp measure.

Coin chutes occasionally come up on ebay, it's just a matter of keeping an eye open. Alternatively, fabricate one from sheet brass - a simple inverted 'L' shape will work fine until a 'pukka' item comes along.
