Goldings Orbito
Goldings Orbito
Another nice electro unusual machine finished today as you all noted, for £361. Unusual machine which I could not make out the game play, but assume based on instructions you had to fill columns to win, what looks like a spindle that rotates with coins in. Would be good to see better pictures and operation from seller or buyer......maybe made by Goldings or just supplied by them........ never seen another

Re: Goldings Orbito
I recall seeing an Orbito at the Coventry auction on at least one occasion - maybe this one. It was certainly on 3D. I suspect the 'Fill Column To Win' instruction doesn't really apply - probably just a variant of Goldings Rouletto, Jugola, Bandito etc. where you drop a penny through some pins above the spinning disc in the hope that it enters the disc on a winning segment.

Re: Goldings Orbito
This is different to the Jugola etc. as it does have columns that do hold 3d bits. When the column is full its contents are released to the player,

Oh, that's interesting. I'd like to see a video of it in action... I suppose it had to be 3D or the machine would have been massive.

Re: Goldings Orbito
Yes it looked interesting, I've had both Jugola and Bandito and guessed this was similar but different.
I took the bidding up to about £330 or something by placing my maximum bid days ago when it was rattling around the £45 mark. I was then amused and surprised at the individual bidding against me who was raising his bids by the minimum increments. Sometimes three times a minute!
Even after all of these years there are still lots out there who don't know how to bid on eBay. He must have been astounded how I apparently seemed to out bid him again and again every time.
He eventually outbid me so he was prepared to go that high anyway, why didn't he just chuck that much at it in the first place? He still lost too.

Re: Goldings Orbito
Yes that bidder was odd, did the same thing on the Roma that sold around the same time......
Whoever got it, it would be great to see more if you are on here, is it electric etc.....

Come on TF - even I can see it's electric... I think we may get to see it action. Watch this space...
Re: Goldings Orbito
Who knows, it may be gravity fed and the electickery is just for the lights....
Mind you, if Goldings have anything to do with it, it will need power one suspects.

It's taken me a while there to work out how filling a column makes it pay out.
I finally got there and take back my comment above ..... it should have gone to me!

Thanks for sharing. It is great to see something new that most have not seen before and it is surprising how many new discoveries appear every year. Love the operation, bright colours and of course blue Formica a must on a '60s machine.
