Bran Tub swag boxes

Post by trevmo »

Hi,
I am thinking of restoring my old Bryans Bran Tub. Can anyone help me source the two sizes of cardboard swag boxes that it uses.
Thanks

My favourite lucky-dip vendor, even including Treasure Cave!
I didn't know they took two sizes of box. Tell me more...

Hi Brigham,
yes there are 5 columns in the machine, 2 small (approx 2.5 x 2 x7/8") and 3 larger (3 x 2 x 5/8") and they vend in the order of L,S,S,L,L.
Obviously clever old Mr Brian didn't want every consecutive prize to look the same, might give the game away.
Interestingly chalked inside the back of my machine are the words "Checked ok 3d. W.B." I wonder if he always did a final quality control check!

I'd failed to notice that there were two sizes in the Bran Tub.
This machine just gets better and better.
There were two in my local arcade; one took four separate pennies, the other a tanner. Seems like the vend price was very variable, unlike the prize, which was invariably tat.
