Hello from Canada!
Hello from Canada!
Hey all, I am from Ontario Canada and found this site via a circuitous route. I started with pinball, and still do that a lot, now on my 35th machine or so.
But I slowly started developing a love for older arcade machines and anything that falls under "trade stimulator".
I refurbished some pachinko machines recently, and my research got me searching for 1950s Japanese Smart Ball machines (which I still hope to find some day!)
I was also in love with the Finnish Pajatso machines, and that search led me to UK Bell-Fruit Cascade machine, and here I am hoping to one day find one of those, and someone brave enough to ship it to Canada!
My latest acquisition was a 1932 Bally Goofy machine, which you all might enjoy http://www.pinrepair.com/prewar/goofy.htm
thanks,
Caitlyn

Hello, Caitlyn.
Welcome to the premier coin-op site in the world. You'll find a wealth of information as well as a wealth of collectors ready, willing and able to help you with about any question you will have.
And by the way, in spite of what our idiot President says, we Yanks love you Canadians. You're the best partners we've ever had. As for Trump, I guess we felt the need to challenge your Ford brothers with our own incompetent self-interested fool.

Still American in spite of it all.

Hello Caitlyn from a fellow Ontario resident.
You'll find lots of help and resources here.

You into the pinball world as well? Ontario has so much going on on that front. Curious to know what your perspective is on Ontario, considering your hobbies.
Either way, looking forward to digging through this site and learning.
Thanks, it's a bit of a dark period politics-wise. I do love America and have so many American friends, but the stories from down there are harrowing, and the world makes no sense when a president can just lie like a despot.John T. Re: Hello from Canada!
Owned one pinball for years but sold it when I moved where I am.
I picked up a couple wall mount machines made in Germany and I came here for information.
Good group here and lots of information.
I had no clue there were so many machines.

I've added those two excellent pinball websites to the American/Other links page in the Archive. If you know of others, please feel free to add them.
It might be worthwhile advertising for the Bell-Fruit Cascade on the Market: Wanted page.

Thanks!
Other websites: for pachinko and pachislo fans: http://www.pachitalk.com/
and a lot of us canadian pinheads congregate at https://www.maaca.org/
I checked the https://pennymachines.co.uk/market/wanted/ link but it doesn't show anything for me, so I assumed it was broken. Is it just empty and there's nothing for sale and nothing wanted?

Ah yes, as BP reminded me recently, it isn't working on Windows 10 IE and Firefox. Will let you know when it's fixed...
Meantime, maybe you could post those pinball links here.

We have a few members now from Canada'land, you probably all know each other or stood in line at the General Stores with them when stocking up on bear traps and selling your Beaver pelts?
