How do I create a new topic or post a reply?

Until you're familiar with the layout of a website, even the most basic functions can be hard to fathom. So in response to several new members who've come unstuck at this point:

First you need to be registered with the site and logged in. Then...

To post a new topic in a forum:
From the homepage of the Forum choose and click on the Category which best suits the topic of your post. Now, on the left, just above the list of existing topics, you will see the New Topic button.

Click this to open the posting form.

Enter your topic title in the Subject field and type your message below. You can then click Preview (to see if it looks correct) or Submit to publish it to the Forum.

To reply to an existing topic:
While viewing the topic you wish to respond to you will see a Post Reply button (top, left and bottom, left of the existing posts).

Click this to open the posting form.

Type your message (the topic title in the Subject field will already be filled). You can then click Preview (to see if it looks correct) or Submit to publish it to the Forum.
