Bally 809 bandit
Bally 809 bandit
Hi guys,
Not as old and as nice as some of your machines but here is one that’s almost finished. This one started out looking like it came out of the ocean but it had to be saved. Every metal piece had to be removed stripped rust killed and painted.
Original plan was fresh nickel but didn’t trust the local player with all the parts - thankfully he only lost one piece of the chrome grrrrrrr...
Not the greatest photos - this restore started several phones ago.

WOW, what a transformation; well done on saving a piece of history. Nice to see somebody thinking about restoring the insides and not just the outside.
Re: Bally 809 bandit
Would anyone have spare parts for these?
The coin hopper has a piece with a broken tip that looks like this.

I have had several of these knives break and if I remember correctly every coin uses a different knife, so make sure you get the correct one!
