Aristocrat Grosvenor jackpot reserve
Aristocrat Grosvenor jackpot reserve
Hi, I just bought my first slot machine. Everything seems to work, but I'm unsure of the jackpot reserve. How will the function be on it ? Every time wheel spins, reseve-"stop-pins" goes out and in.

Re: Aristocrat Grosvenor Jackpot reserve
Hi Wannman and welcome to The Forum …….
The jackpot reserve on your Aristo is working perfectly.
The pins retract to allow coins to fill it.
Then at the end of the cycle extend to capture coins above that line.
In the event of a jackpot pay out only coins below the pins would drop, and then the next play would retract the pins allowing the coins above them to refill the bank.

Thanks for your reply. I'll get more coins so I can test it live You're probably right but I do not understand that it will work because the pins go in. At jackpot should you win the reserve too?

The pins go in during the play which is when the coin drops.
Your Video doesn't run long enough to show when they return out.
Force a jackpot and see if the pins stay in when it drops.
If they do then it's wrong. It's a lever at the back of the JP which slides the pins back and forth, if it's not oiled or gummed up with dry grease it could be the cause.

Re: Aristocrat Grosvenor jackpot reserve
You don't get the reserve on a jackpot unless something's faulty. The whole idea is that in seeing a full jackpot people would be more likely to play it. When the jackpot falls it would replenish itself from the reserve, thus giving the player an incentive to play as the jackpot would fill up again. I think on some machines the reserve is fairly small. I had a Mills Hi Top once and that had about a third of the volume of coins in reserve compared to the full main pot; this was very temperamental at the time and the reserve would often fall through too, but purely down to a fault.

Thank you @badpenny and @malcymal . I fix some coins and test it live. With your help, I think everything works as it should
