Re: Parkers allwins
to the site Dave!
I've moved your post to this topic which contains our accumulated wisdom on the subject of Parkers and one or two examples of the 24 Cup.
Apart from the Carousel, a quantity of which were made up using old stock cases, all Parkers allwins are rare because they were produced for use in Parker's arcades, not for retail. Exact numbers are not known.

Re: Parkers allwins
Hi,
Thanks so much for the advice. The one I have is the same as the one pictured. I noted some locks where side mounted and other top mounted...

PM, then what about the circa 1956/57 trade show photo page 84 of the Braithwaite Arcades book? Why would Parkers be displaying a bank of their wall machines along with Wurlitzer and Rockola jukes if not for sale??
Re: Parkers allwins
Just reading about Parker's in the Arcades book it says "About 2000 machines were made in all, half of which remained in Parker's own arcades "

Thanks for that gameswat, not that I'll remember for next time, but good to have this info pinned here. He doesn't have a stab at Oliver Whales production numbers, but they must have been much higher.
It has the wrong top-flash, or the wrong door, depending upon how you look at it.
The Lucky 18 next to the Super '24' Cup here have their doors swapped back into the correct cases.

Re: Parkers allwins
Just out of interest I pulled this photo from several trade show photos on the www.penny-arcade.info site and suspect it's one of those mentioned above.

Have we seen this allwin before?
Topic moved & merged- Site Admin.
I just got this job for a new backflash and top glass. I am no allwin expert so I don't know if this Parkers machine has come up before or not, so I thought I'd show it just in case.

Hi Paul,
Yes it is a Parkers allwin, in the plain oak case. The only photo I have is in black and white and taken at an angle, so not a lot of use to you.?? The price new in 1958 was £26.10.00. How many do you want?

It's certainly rare. My 'patch' ran from Whitley Bay to Scarborough, and I never saw one of those.
Murray Mints are oval. I hope they rolled out all right!

Nearly finished this backflash, I love the design, pity there aren't more of them around, I checked and the characters are directly copied from their 1955 "Guardsman" TV advert, one of the very first TV adds on UK television.
