Always thought about this one as I do not have the tools or skills to make my own and have bought a number of Bertie Berten ones from the states for Mills Hi Tops, still have a few....problem is after shipping here, very expensive (I note that Bertens site Mrslots1 is down, wonder if they have stopped trading).

Suspect answer would be to get a cabinet maker to produce some if you had a template, again all down to cost. I paid £50 each for 3 oak Hi Top versions, but bought from people in U.K. who took the hit on the cost from the states.

Would probably cost that just to buy the oak now Tom, it’s very expensive. When I make mine it costs a fortune.

Old brown furniture made of solid oak is out of fashion and cheap, rather than buying new timber.

Could do with a Jennings governor tic tac toe and also a new base for a Groetchen Columbia.

I had a reply from MrSlot and he is all out of oak cases.

So how do these "Reproducing Cabinets" work then?
Can I buy one or are they against the will of god?

Well you get a mummy cabinet and a daddy cabinet and put them together and let nature take over.

Was your contact with Berten recently as their website is still down and not due to registration....

Funny, I sold an oak Jennings cabinet recently to a fellow member. Am sure there have been a few originals on eBay recently, probably overpriced though.
