Pace Twin Reels
I've been asked by a professional restorer in the US if I have any details on this unusual Pace double play machine he's working on but has never seen before. I don't. Can anyone help please?

Re: Pace "twin Reels"
Well I have the Single reel version of this called "Paces Reels".
Never seen the twin version. What does the restorer want to know?

I think any historical info but mainly the date. Although the single is more common. Can we see a photo of your machine please?

Re: Pace "twin Reels"
Hi Paul
Date would be around 1939 or very early '40s.
That is a very rare model.
You may want to post on coinopcollector forum as I have never seen one and been collecting Pace machines for around 25 years.
I have also pictured another very rare Pace Three Play Console which has three separate coin heads which I will be restoring over the Summer!
cheers
Nigel

Re: Pace Twin Reels
Thanks for the three play photo. My own research on the "Twin Reels" makes me think it dates from 1944. I can find adverts for it in Billboard from June 1944 and every month after, but not before. The price was a staggering $550, but by 1947 new ones were not being advertised and refurbished models were as low as $150. Some other consoles that were two sided often had short life spans being hard to site as they took up too much space.
