Interesting case on this Crackerjack. My guess is treefrog would love it.

Re: Shefras Crackerjack
All, I guess you saw my response on the Facebook group. This is being discussed and repeating what I said then: this is a standard later ply front version that has had a Formica revamp. Problem with Formica is when they apply, they heavily score the wood for a key, as such often making if difficult or impossible to smooth out. Had this so often on Mills bandits......
Having said all that, it sold for $30, so a bargain. As mentioned on the group, I got a quote to package for $150 and ship for $950... so guess I wouldn’t be bidding then.
Don’t like the Formica, but do like these later style of Shefras machines...

Re: Shefras Crackerjack
Not seen that playfield version of a Crackerjack before, all the other (earlier?) versions I have seen have been as per the photo. This one was sold at the 2016 Coventry auction - and a nice machine too
Re: Shefras Crackerjack
In the more common version of Crackerjack, the numbers that appear in the centre cut-out of the playfield are on a drum that revolves one notch every time the payout knob is turned. On the later version, the numbers are printed on a disc - hence why the cut-out is off-centre.Not seen that playfield version of a crackerjack before.....

Re: Shefras Crackerjack & BMCo Smithy
I've merged all the Crackerjack topics to round up what we have to date.
Re: Shefras Crackerjack
For anyone interested the Shefras crackerjack Allwin is looking for a new owner, but I could not make it viable to the U.K. for myself and suggested the new owner post an advert on this site as there are collectors in the US and Canada. Happy to share their details if interested. Always frustrating when you see a machine you like being sold at a reasonable price but scuppered by a weak pound and shipping inflation

Hi everyone, I know it's a long shot but I've got a Crackerjack allwin with 2 missing parts that are integral to the multi payout device. The parts I'm missing is a steel rod which is attached to a metal casting which is painted red. I just wondered if anyone has these parts for sale or any suggestions in finding someone to make them.
Many thanks,
Michael

Thanks for replying. Looking back at my post, it does seem very vague. The thing is, I can't do pictures as I'm not very good,. There are some really good pictures on the site of the whole mechanism. I need the red casting on the right hand side that is attached to the long strip of metal which pulls the pay out slide out.
Thanks again,
Michael
Thanks again,
Michael
Re: Shefras Crackerjack
There are two versions of the Crackerjack, but as you mentioned red parts, are you referring to the marked part below?

Re: Shefras Crackerjack
Yes, thank you for putting a photo up. That's the part I need to get my Crackerjack paying out as it should. All I need now is a clever person that can make me one.
Thanks again, Michael

Hi everyone,
Following my last post, I've decided to try and make the part I need myself. Could anyone explain how the payout mech. works? If I could understand how it works, I will have a better understanding of what the part does. I know it's tricky but any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the video. It does help, but I'd love to know someone who has got a Crackerjack so I could get some measurements.

Re: Shefras Crackerjack
Thank you for going to so much trouble - it means a lot. What I'm thinking, I don't know if it will work, but if I can get a drawing of the part I may be able to get one 3D printed or have a go at making the part. Thanks again, Michael

Just a quick update. With the help of my local iron monger's I've cobbled together a part that surprising works for the multi payout, so a big thank you to penny machine for all his input on this project.
