Hi, yes, I used to own one of these - it's made by Handan-Ni and dates from about 1915 - 20. Great game.

TF your memory never ceases to amaze me.
I suggest we ditch our cranky Search facility and put in a hyperlink straight to TF.

In the meantime I can't find my set of tiny screwdrivers.

Two versions also shown here: Re: Domino / Lucky Dice / Le Juge de Paix

Image

It was patented by John Jofeh in October 1917: GB109488

The red-painted example sold in New Zealand from the Michael Woolf Collection in November 2016, hammer price NZD1,900 (£1,112).
Full results of that sale in the Arena.

Compare and contrast with Handani-Ni's Conqueror's Flags.

previously unknown catcher by Handan-ni ?

A member on my web site sent me this photo of a machine he's been asked to repair (he doesn't have it yet so this is the only poor photo so far). It's marked as made by Handan-Ni. I've heard of their "Bomb Dropper", "Conqueror's Flags" and "Clown" but not this massive long case catcher wall machine that seems to have a counter built-in. Can anyone tell me more, please?

Domino

Paul, you asked a question on this machine's cousin in May and Mr PM shared pictures of same model.*

Stay safe

Ah, I didn't link the two together as I didn't know the maker of the one I posted then, and it's quite a bit different from the long case version here and I don't think it has Dominos on the clock (I didn't notice Mr P's photo of the same machine). !THUMBS!
