Aristocrat Four Reel Special overflow tube & coin holder

Post by leggettclan »

Hi all,
I am hoping that someone will be able to assist me with information for rebuilding the coin overflow and the shaped lever that sits at the top of the payout tube at the topmost level of coins for an Aristocrat ten cent Australian one arm bandit.
As per the photos below I have been restoring an Aristocrat one arm bandit - the machine is completely mechanical, and is working great. However, the overflow tube and coin holder have been modified to be controlled by an electronic solenoid.

After speaking to a number of people regarding this set up, and the solenoid issues it presents, I have decided to change it back to the original mechanical overflow tube as shown below.

I have managed to obtain a replacement ten cent original throat (as per the picture) and will make the overflow tube (with the holes in it). However, I was hoping that someone could provide some information (or photos of a working machine) that shows the shaped lever that sits on top of the payout tube and pushes coins over into the overflow tube.

I have seen an older post on this site that deals with this issue. However, there is no information as to how it was overcome.
Many thanks all.

I have never seen such an attachment and wonder what it was for and why.

Do you have the lever below on the side that has the reset lever attached that goes through the tube?

Thanks so much for the prompt reply - I really appreciate it.
Yes I do have that lever on the side (have attached photos).
Once the machine is operated it stays back and then comes forward once all the reels have stopped. I am assuming that the lever attaches to this and is held on by a split pin.
Would you happy to have a photo of that part of the mechanism?
