£250 actually Tom. A higher offer was accepted. Did anyone on here buy it? 🤔

Haven’t bought an allwin in ages and took a chance on the below machine at auction without viewing. Main reason for going for it is that I believe it is a early Wonders machine, which I like and don’t have many any more… It has similar plain trigger, coin entry to the Supreme. The backflash has similar colours as well and is original thick card with plastic cover. Anyway another one for the list “The Encore”.

Interesting tf. Any idea what 'coin repeat' alludes to?

Nice buy Tf. Looks to be in good shape. I also clocked this as an early Wonders game missing from our list.
'Coin Repeat', and 'Encore', mean you win a coin plus the ball back for another go - same as the Philip Shefras Allwin Supreme, and many other games from this period and earlier.

Interesting machine that wouldn't take too much work to complete. I was the under bidder in the room and on reflection should have pushed you further. I left the auction trying to console myself with the feeble excuse that I didn't need another allwin in my life. Well done.

Was this the one for sale in the Ipswich auction?

Wow! How bizarre for two new Wonders to come to light in a few months… This is very similar, but 7 cup instead of 9… Should have gone for it, as it would look good next to the other… I think it sold for £510 + comm.

Seemed so fluky, at first I compared the images, wondering if they were the same... :o I didn't think to count the cups. !DOH! Given the penny payout, seven cups is mean. !UPSET!

I did notice when comparing the fewer pay cups. One thing that did strike me though is the difference in colour of door compared with cabinet. Almost looks like it has been put together.

Possibly just someone over finishing the door with horrible varnish.

Anyway cleaned mine up, fixed all the wood blocks which hold lower shelf and door stops which had dried glue and also now has original keys for the locks :o

Now that is a good looking machine tf. Are there any signs that the usual Wonders logo has been ground away on the flicker plate?

I think these earlier machines predate the famous logo, so no.
