Making an allwin coin box door

Post by badpenny »

So yesterday as the temperature outside settled just above the mid 80F I decided to go outside and plane up a bit of oak to make a coin box door for a BMCo.
I put on my swimming trunks and toddled out to brave the elements, I was intentionally exposing those parts of me not expected to scare small animals or provide hilarity to female neighbours.
Plugging in my sander I didn't even get a chance to squeeze the trigger before SWMBO screamed my name and hurtled towards me down the garden path, carrying half the contents of a small wardrobe.
I was quickly educated as to my shortcomings in the common sense department and learnt I needed to cover my head, naked parts of my torso, legs and generally any fleshy bits I might be dangling in order to avoid enjoying heat stroke/ 3rd degree burns/ dehydration, just for starters.
Upon learning I wasn't just sitting there, but actually intended to do some sanding, she hurtled off and returned again with industrial gloves and a ventilator.

I didn't manage to even plug the sander in this time as within 20 seconds of donning all this garb I felt distinctly woozy and nearly passed out.
It's a good job I met this woman, I really don't have a clue how I should look after myself.

I feel so light headed!
I feel so light headed!

Oh, and before anybody comments ....
Yes I am fully aware of the resemblance: -

And, "No I haven't completely eliminated the likelihood of her actions being the result of a bet between her and the neighbours.

I was thinking more Hannibal Lector and Silence of the Limbs.
