Win Easy identified

Can anyone offer info on this domino themed allwin?
It uses a 1 1/4" ball - presumably not steel, running on a flat brass track. Brass is also the choice of material for the painted backface.
The lucky player receives only his coin back - no ball to replay!

I've found an old picture of your game. It's made by Bolland's Amusement Machine Supply Co. or British Manufacturing Co. and called Wineasy

Thanks for that great bit of detective work PennyMachines - I see it's also listed in Paul Braithwaite's book.
Now all I need to do is find a ball for it - any ideas?

I've just been sent these images of a WinEasy. According to the owner, the ball is made of rubber - hopefully some toy company still produces 1 1/4" India rubber balls. A squash ball is 1 1/2" - a little oversize maybe.

I see in the photo you've got the old container of petrol handy in case you have to fire it. Good thinking - I never start a restoration without it.

This latest photo shows a Win Easy with payout knob and cup - presumably to reward a winning shot with both a coin and free ball.

That's true. I guess it was originally designed as coin return only but later versions offered the chance to win more than your original stake. Given the layout, perhaps it would be a "Win Too Easy".

Never forget the allwin code: If it looks too easy to win, you're looking at a great game that will steal your money. My guess is that you only get your coin back, no extra ball, with a win. Perhaps the owners of these fine looking games can confirm this for us.

I'm not sure if it would be win too easy - personally I have found some of the B M Co allwins extremely hard to win on. When I find a 1 1/4" rubber ball I'll try it and let you all know.
Do you think it's worth checking with Bobby Vee for a rubber ball?

Hi, this is me talking balls again!!! Check out item No.180429274150 on ebay.... 10 x 32mm (1-1/4") rubber balls for 99p They may do the job, Regards Stuart.

I have recently purchased an old allwin type machine. The ball is missing but must be at least an inch in diameter, probably even bigger. No picture or theme on the back board just a polished silver plate in front of the 4 wins and two lost shields. The back board is brass.

I wonder if it is one of these BMco. 2 inch ball machines discussed again recently.... looks like the one on right.

Is this all you have of the machine? Any mechanical parts on the back?

Hi Treefrog and the rest of the forum guys. Thank you for your reply and it is indeed the one on the right in your picture. A bit rough, so I am in the process of cleaning it up. There is no ball - would anyone know the true diameter of the ball as I will have to source a new one? Also, as newbee, are there any ways to renew the lock keys on these machines? Again, thank you for your help.

You'll probably just have to experiment with different sized balls of various materials until you find something suitable - a fraction smaller than the maximum size that goes through the holes, with just enough weight to reliably trip the coin return.

As for keys, a decent locksmith can cut them (see Services) or you could learn to do it yourself.

Bearing in mind all the times the ball on a standard allwin slammed against the glass when playing as a kid (usually because you tried to fire the ball before it had a chance to come to rest on a play that returned to the hammer) what kind of ball could this have used? Hollow, wooden, some sort of Bakelite I'm assuming to reduce the weight and the risk of breaking the glass. I've never seen the machine, so just asking out of interest.

Hi all
Does anyone know where I could source a new large ball for my BMco restoration. It’s coming along nicely. I bought a 35mm stainless steel ball but it’s just too heavy. Does anyone have one of these who could confirm the ball size and material/weight. By the way I found a locksmith in Preston who made me keys for the two locks for a fiver each. Very friendly guy on New Hall Lane. Google him, if you’re struggling for a key. Pictures of my machine attached. Great site by the way.

Great looking machine trevh, not sure about where to obtain the correct type of ball, however, I'm sure one or two members will be along to give you some ideas.
