One of my greatest pleasures in coin-op collecting was the thrill of the hunt............
Over the years I have found machines hidden away in cellars, garbage dumps, country stores, and even buried in the ground.

I have dealt with operators who couldn't wait for me to haul off their discarded machines while others priced their vintage ones like the Hope diamond.
One of my great finds was a Bull Perfume Dispenser similar to the one pictured. Insert your penny, pull down the horns, and you would get a squirt of perfume.... It was manufactured by the Continental Novelty Co., Circa 1900.

Hold on to your hat while I tell you how I found this gem.....
I was vacationing in Canada and stopped at a rural gas station. The owner had a pile of odds and ends for sale in one corner of the dilapidated station (certainly no Harrods).
I think I paid around $25.00.
He must have thought I was just one more of those crazy Americans who had more money than brains.

Perhaps moonriver will recognize his friend who he indicated paid $127,000 for a bull coin-operated perfume dispenser...

Actually, mine did not have white horns and sold for a mere $7,000.

No that's not him Roger. You can't put your hand up to bid in a straight jacket.

Hi lewin..........Your intriguing question really got my attention.

I am sure that all members would love to know the relevance of your reference to Ontario.
There is speculation that you are the one in the jacket or possibly the owner of a certain gas station while harboring seller's remorse...... :HaHa: :HaHa: :HaHa: ROGER
