A nice-looking slot machine, is it Watling? I wonder if he played it in the movie and if the clip is available?
EDIT-: he does play the machine but not very clearly (Men o War part 1, 11min 30 seconds into the film available on youtube)

This may be on the forum already, but I've not come across it, thank god the blueprints for the "coin-op supermarket" never came to reality

Previously posted here, together with a bunch of other Pathé coin-op stuff, but if Pathé take it down, youtube will serve...

Hi All
I'm not sure if I have posted this before or not, but this is regarding a 1956 British movie called Booby Trap (no it's not a carry on film :D )
It's about a scatter brain professor that develops a pen that can explode when certain sounds are in range, and it falls into the hands of some London gangster types.
BT0.jpg

The most part of the film is centered around a Gentlemen's club owned by a gangster that is also a gambling and drugs den. This so called gambling den can't be doing very well as it only has one bandit and one pin table... but it does have a 1947 Ditchburn jukebox .. so I will forgive :HaHa:

It's actually a quite a good old British film to watch... Enjoy.

All the best,

Brilliant. Just trying to work out the coinage of the bandit. Any ideas?

From the pic., and the fact that it says 1d., I would guess it's on pennies.

Here's a short clip of Robert Mitchum as Philip Marlow in 'Farewell my Lovely' when he visits a Penny Arcade after the usual shoot out. I like the look of that baseball game.

Would you believe that the one minute clip from the 'Farewell my lovely' has been pulled for copyright reasons? It only showed a short scene where Robert Mitchum was in a penny arcade. Copyright restrictions have gone mad it seems.
