Re: Smile, say Cheese
Although stretching the topic slightly, but in the same vein, this photo always makes me wonder at the determination of machine operators and the gullibility of punters. This coin-operated sound recording booth was on Kings Cross Station, London, in the days of steam railways. Judging by the "soundproof" door, the background noise must have been... interesting.
Re: Smile, say Cheese
If you propped the door open, and kept quiet, you would have a good recording of 'ambient sounds at a major terminus'.

On the subject of photobooths, does anyone know much about them mechanics wise? I’ve recently been asked to get a model 14 photo booth working for someone. Managed to get a circuit diagram which looks pretty simple compared to the pinball machines I usually work on, but there’s obviously a lot of mechanics going on. Anyone any experience of getting one sorted?

I've linked to this before, because it's the best page on photobooths I could find: https://www.stickybacks.uk/booths.asp

Somewhere I have pictures of myself as a kid from a photobooth on Goodrington Sands, Paignton.
