Text and picture alignment

Post by scorpa163 »

When looking at the museum and location pages on apple ipad they overlap.
The pictures in the museum appear on top of the text.
In location they cover the comment area.
How do I correct this?

I used to access these pages correctly. I’ve either done something at my end or an upgrade has upset the layout.

I tried to investigate this last month using online emulators, emulator software (which blew up my desktop !!JUNK!! ) and by testing on an Apple MacBook Pro (Firefox browser), but couldn't replicate the reported issue.
scorpa163, treefrog: could you specify the Apple model device and specific browser producing these image overlaps?

Just checked iPhone SE same software 15.6.1 and images overlap the text.
I used to able to see locations pages ok , and leave comments on the pages.
It must have changed when I had a software update from Apple

No joy so far... Also tried Safari 15.3 on macOS Monterey and Chrome 102 on macOS Monterey.
To help narrow down, can you give the browser type and version number?

Yes I am 15.6. Below is an example of issue… No idea what Safari version, so assume 15.6 as does not show.

Mr PM . Are you still trying to resolve the problem?
The location file is now empty, when I look on my ipad.

I now have access to an ipad and have seen the picture alignment problem. I'll see if I can sort these issues next week.

I didn't get the chance to look at this as soon as planned.

Hopefully it's now fixed for all Apple Mac devices, maybe Linux operating systems too? |/XX\|

Please let me know.

Glad it's working for you now! There is still one member reporting a blank page when viewing on a desktop Mac with Safari browser. This would appear to be a separate issue. As I've not been able to replicate this, I've suggested he clears his browser cache and deletes the pennymachines site cookie from the 'delete cookie' button on the homepage. I'll await response.

Amazingly I was able to fix this quickly be describing the issue to ChatGPT and showing it my code. It wasn't complex, but might otherwise have taken me hours to hit upon.

Seems it was just a caching issue. !!YABBADABBA!!

Arena image display issue

Post by arrgee »

Topic split from Quite a rare beasty - Mills Futurity and merged - Site Admin.

The photos are indicated by just an outline and question mark in the centre, is this just my pc/browser or are others getting this?
