Newbie from Norfolk UK
Morning.
So after parting with a Spiderman pinball machine, thanks to a collector I have acquired a nice Jennings Governor on (25c) 1 shilling coin.
After an initial clean up, (more to do I am sure)... and a few tweaks corrected, it's now running nicely. Going to have a look at the jackpot payout mech later today and see how that works..? Found out it's paying on the top line, and not the middle.
Does anyone know how to correct this please or a link to a video?
Chat soon with plenty of questions, I am sure. Great website and forum I hasten to add.

If ALL of the payouts are on the top line, then somebody hasn't reassembled the reel bundle/Pay out discs assembly correctly. If you understand how the mech reads where the symbols are pays out accordingly then you'll understand the need to ...
Remove the Reel/Disc assembly
Adjust the collars between each reel and its corresponding disc so you can move the combination down one to the middle line
Easier still, check the paper reel strips and if they're not glued down, then ease up the gripper rails on each side of all three reels and gently slide the reels down a level. Use your phone and take gallons of photos as you tear it down to refer to when you build it back up.
Regards the jack pot. The top slide releases only when the top combination wins. That slide has a trigger attached which is linked to the door on the jack pot bank.
Here's a free manual, the photos are a bit naff, but print it off for a better quality.

Best of luck, it looks good.

Welcome.
A nice looking machine with what looks like very good chrome (re-chromed?). My guess is it's actually set to run on 1/- not 25c. Although the top glass is in good condition, it cries out for the original design. I always think this machine looks so good with the correct top glass.
