I love these German Electo mechanicals. This one is typical of the German policy of reinventing the machine every few years with a few changes.
This one first came out in 1956 as the "Union" and it was not very appealing
the next year it came out as the "Roulette" same machine but with a different glass and a far too complex list of payouts
in 1958 out came the "Union Lexus" reverting to the horse-race theme and simplified payouts and a few more options than the 1956 "Union"

They have a fascinating pay-out mech. Or at least the few I had back in the 80s did.
Instead of a slide and a repeat solenoid, the pay-out was radical.

There's a vertical rail which holds a stack of coins one on top of each other edge on edge.
Every second coin is supported by a retractable electro-mech solenoid.
If you win two coins the bottom solenoid retracts and the bottom two coins fall, after it returns all of the others also fire so the column replenishes.
Multiples of 2 coins won operates the equivalent number of solenoids.
