Forum takedown: apologies & explanation
I apologise for the recent loss of the Forum.
On April 6, the pennymachines hosting service received a takedown demand from Steve Hunt / Elephant House Auctions / Colcon which made unspecified allegations of defamatory content on pennymachines.co.uk. The host immediately suspended the Forum. The following day, Mr Hunt contacted the police.
As website administrator, I provide contact details and am responsive to complaints. Mr Hunt has these, and they are published here.
This post explains the procedure, including what information is required, and the website administrator's legal obligations. It also provides links to the relevant government legislation and guidance.
If Mr Hunt, or any other person, believes they have been defamed by a post or posts on the Forum, please use this page to issue a Notice of Complaint, or I can be contacted via this form, or email.
Collectors are best served if this remains a place of free speech and fair comment. Temperate and respectful posting at all times will help keep it that way.
