Novomat payout bar sticking

Hi thanks for letting me join. I've recently got hold of Novomat. I had to completely replace the wood case. I put the mechanism back before doing too much work on it to see how it performed. I believe the side rod should drop into the slot when the handle is pulled, but the bar with the slot isn't moving far enough to let the rod drop in. Is there something you can adjust so the bar moves further?

I ask because I've been talking to you on FB where I am (Trigger Clapham)
If that rod isn't dropping through to the bottom slide, check ...

Dirt at the bottom of the rod or obstructing hole in the slide ...
Lubricate pivot at top of rod
Rod not bent or kinked
Check the rod is loose during cycle. If not, and above not applicable, attach a weight to it.

Hi. Thanks. I understand a bit more about the workings with your help. I cleaned where the rod goes through and there is easy movement. The slide just needs to move only a fraction more to allow the rod to drop through. I'm wondering if it's just down to wear on the mechanism that moves that slide.

OK, in the past I have adjusted that distance.
If you check the lever alongside that slides the carriage backwards to reset it you can shorten the play in the channel.
There is a stud that travels in an elongated channel. When it reaches the end of the elongation it makes contact with the carriage the slides sit in and moves them backwards. You need it to make contact sooner, hence moving it further.
Place a small bolt through the channel between the stud and the end. Keep it in place by securing a nut on it.
I'd post a photo, but I don't have a Gunter Wulff applicable machine.
However, if my explanation above doesn't paint pictures in your head, then come back and I'll mix them up a bit.

Done what you suggested and it's worked and both rods are doing what they should. Thanks again. Got to make a coin tube and redo the numbers, but getting there. I've added a picture of the case I had to make and repainted parts.
