I have a small wall machine mounted that way, but it would be fine for heavier games too.
Pros: easy to remove the machine; cheap, as no brackets required.
Cons: thieves; a full length piece will be visible between the cabinets (ugly).

Ideal would be a completely flexible system which left no marks on the walls. I'm thinking metal walls and powerful magnets.

You could fix a length to the wall and position anywhere along it?
Excuse the primitive drawing. 🙈
That’s a nice simple idea. I like it.
