Very quiet on this site these days…..

Never been to Watermouth Castle, but new owners seem to be thinning out arcade collection…..I have never understood though why people move machines across the country to sell them. Not like Goole is near a lot of us, but then again neither is Devon… Not sure I will be making the long trip up there, but nice to see some rarer items up for sale.

The Jennings Peacock looks a little newer than 1932 to me with its new case and single cherry payout.

Bearing in mind the machines put up for sale, I did think it must be a collector selling up or similar circumstances? Thx TF for confirmation of where these were once resident.

As Treefrog noted regarding the Jennings... some of the dates don't add up.

The Triple Conveyor seems to have very modern parts inside and a modern motor ... very likely a repro.

The Disney automata I think could be later than the 1930s described, especially with a TV studio scene. Research required on some of these items.

Yes, the Conveyor does look very bright and shiny, for a machine 70 + years old. My guess is it's one of a number produced by Terry Powell around 15 years ago. I've never come across a 'triple' regardless of age.
The Disney models are fantastic, but I agree that the TV studio scene would appear to date them later than suggested.
And the Laughing Sailor......is that really a Modern Enterprises machine?

I totally agree, it was made by Terry Powell.
The sailor is not a Modern Enterprises sailor.
Interesting how many machines are coming up for sale currently.

Problem is, a lot of what is coming to market have rather large estimates on them of late and often don't sell. Interesting, the only machine with bids and beyond estimate is the German Witches Cave, probably due to rarity and English instructions.

The Billiards someone told me recently - last one sold for around £5k. God knows why, as it's a very simple machine and not much different to other models in terms of play. All about the theme, which is nice. Not sure I would pay £4k just for the shape of a billiards table though...

Maybe people banking on Xmas presents being bought with EH at weekend.

I used to own a later version of the Chicago Coin "Basketball Champ." Same game, different case. It was a fantastic game and a delight to play. The original version, offered here, is well worth the starting bid, provided it works.
