With regard to the date of the Disney television scene being wrong (1936/1938), here are a few dates of TV in UK:
8th February1928, John Logie Baird successfully transmits television pictures across the Atlantic.
3rd June 1931 - first TV outside broadcast - Baird televises the Derby using a mirror drum camera mounted in a caravan.
2nd November 1936, BBC TV begins broadcasting regular high definition programmes from Alexandra Palace to the London area.
12th May 1937, coronation of King George VI is broadcast, 9000 TV sets are sold in the London area.
1st September 1939, TV is shut down and it is estimated that there are 20,000 TV sets in Britain at this time.

In my opinion, most of the low estimates were far too high.

I picked up the Watling Birds of Paradise. From the photos I was sent it appears there's a couple of pieces missing from the mech that I will need to sort but the condition overall looked excellent from the photos. Will update when I receive it next week. |/XX\|
