Saucy Slot Machines - School Dinners

Post by treefrog »

Every so often, I drag out another machine I bought many years ago when I went a bit mad and this time it is another bandit: an Aristocrat Regal with rotary escalator from the early '60s, which I bought on eBay about 15 years ago and did nothing with, as I was going to break and use it for parts as it was cheap…

On reflection 15 years later on dragging it out of a hole, I may change my mind as it has a bit of history and a saucy theme. It used to be based during the 1980s at the famous “School Dinners” club in Mayfair which closed down I believe in the '90s. They had this machine in the main section where customers could buy dollar sized tokens for 50p... I have compared some of the tokens that came with the machine and they are the same size as a US dollar, so looking at the slides which look original, I suspect the machine was imported from the US, being a casino machine, and was customised with saucy reel strips and graphics. Even the tokens have a saucy theme.

The theme of the club was for St Trinians style girls scantily clad to feed you school dinner type food, often sitting on your lap in the process… You can still see pictures on the internet… :HaHa: The good old days before political correctness.

So I decided to keep and restore... I just need more tokens as I only have 8. Some people are asking as much as £35 a token on eBay.

School dinners token

Topic moved & merged - Site Admin.

 I've found a token linked to this site from a post. It was for a fruit machine from an old London saucy dinner club. If the owner of the machine would like it, then please get in touch 07900782373. I don’t want anything for it other than postage. Just nice to get it back in the right place. 😊
