Any further info on seeing the flyer or the original top art of this?
Re: Geo Joyce & Sons Ltd. ABC Belfrute identified
Interestingly, I can remember seeing a different version of this machine in a Yarmouth arcade in the 60's. It was a rather unexciting grey colour, with what I can only assume were cutout coloured perspex shapes forming the fruit symbols. It worked in the same way as the Belfrute, so maybe it was an aftermarket display, specially made as a replacement for a broken one?

Another variation comes to mind - I remember seeing a large machine at the back of Botton's arcade, it was a strange one which looked as though it was made from a modified Film Stars. It was huge, sited against one wall, with the octagonal top display. It was grey in colour.
I would guess that it was a Film Stars that had suffered from some sort of malfunction, and had been converted to a Belfrute, possibly using a spare octagonal display (from a faulty Belfrute!)
We are talking around 1964 to 1967 or thereabouts.
Do any forum members know better?
