Sega Continental Grand Prix

I'm still on the hunt for a SEGA Continental Grand Prix but so far one is eluding me.

I have to assume that if I stumble over a completely beggared one I could use my existing MK10 to build one out of 2?
Obviously that's not ideal but maybe the way forward if a nice one doesn't come up

Meanwhile, the search continues, Please yell if you know of one...

Trouble finding a Continental eh?
You are to be envied.
Many of us stumbled on them by accident, not really understanding what a beast they are.
Are you a fork lift operator? You need to be.
Have you a full sized work bench for when you need to open one up? By the time you lift the front and slide the gubbins out on its trolley you're likely to be shocked how much the centre of gravity shifts as you manoeuvre the mech round on its turn table. You'll want a larger footprint of support than just a Workmate to stabilise it.
At least the day before you attempt it, advise your mates what you're attempting, thus warning them not to be in assisting distance. And tell them to bring audio books when you're allowed visitors as pages are difficult to turn when your fingers are shaped like screwdriver blades and your crushed chest can't support the weight of a paperback book.

I only bought it because it was a BONUS type, then the BONUS unit packed up...
So now it sits gathering dust on the garage floor.

Fortunately I'm 6,5" and used to hauling vintage engines around.. incredibly sturdy work bench, no worries...

I once bought two off a guy who didn't know you could take the mech out and had carried them up two flights of stone stairs in a block of flats !! Even dismantled I took my life in my hands getting back down those stairs.

Thank you so much for the heads up, I was the under bidder... but a limit is a limit.. Especially as there were no keys and the interior could not be viewed, it could have been a very careless punt to have gone further £££.

So... This finally happened!

It has 22 Sega Continental branded tokens in it which is both a literal and metaphorical bonus...
My question is, are these readily available or do I have to be very, very careful with the ones I have ?

The question is, does the machine take both coins and tokens. If so, then you can use coins for the running of the machine and tokens for the payout (25 is more than you will ever need for a token payout). If the machine just uses tokens all round I MIGHT have some the same size but not branded "Sega".
