It's an early (first generation) version and probably had a marquee originally, like this:

These early ones didn't have screen-printed graphics, just red and blue coloured plastics and a hand painted mirror top sign.

An early Selecta Cup finished in auction today. Looks like they used an old French allwin cabinet instead of a Saxony type.
