Brenco Machines
Re: Brenco Machines
Does anyone have new links to the Brenco machines? The sites seemed to have vanished. Let’s hope their content has been saved.

Re: Brenco Machines
I have an interesting day trying to retrieve the Brenco website.
Thankfully some of it is saved on the Web if you know where to look
Sadly most of the photos have disappeared
But I have managed to reconstruct the Brenco Factory Page.
Please enjoy

Re: Brenco Machines
There's footage of one on YouTube.
From the sounds alone, I would think it shares a controller with Wheel of Fortune.

Blimey, you’re cheap. Thank you so much. I wonder who had the original site?slotalot wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2024 6:00 pm I have an interesting day trying to retrieve the Brenco website.

Re: Brenco Machines
Not sure who owned the original site, But watch this space, Mr Pennymachines and myself are busy investigating the rest of the Brenco site.
So there could be more to come.
Re: Brenco Machines
Good news some of the info is being recovered, but stating the obvious, I assume PSD from Southend has been contracted via the email details registered on the site
It does of course always raise questions on whether people who run useful websites whether they have built in some kind of transition plan to hand over in the event of personal disaster as so much info disappears from the net in similar circumstances…..MR PM

Re: Brenco Machines
After studying the YouTube 'Money Wheel' video in more depth, it becomes obvious that it shares more than just the controller with 'Wheel of Fortune'.
The numerical order of the payouts is identical. It would seem likely that the drive mechanism is the 'Wheel of Fortune' one, turned flat, so that the shaft is vertical.
The four-player arrangement looks complicated, but actually isn't, for the simple reason that all four player positions stop at the same amount on each game. The coin-entry panels are simply in parallel with each other, each one driving its own payout slide.
The counter-rotating arrows are probably the most complicated part. There is clearly a second clutch for these arrows, and in the video it is clearly slipping. This would suggest that it is of the famous Brenco 'chopstick' type.
These machines were often seen in later years with one or more player positions blanked-off. I wonder if they were available in different cofigurations for tax reasons, or whether components were 'borrowed' to keep the machines running?
