Out of the Doghouse

Enter the Honourable Judge's favourite tavern for a dram of Tittle Tattle. There's an ancient bandit in the corner, but I forget his name...

Ten years ago, as a new member of PM, I posted in all capital letters... A big No-No.

Several members hit the roof and all hell broke out. I won't refer you to my original post when I nearly ended up in Siberia. Fortunately, Mr. P. came to my rescue and explained it was only a cultural misunderstanding.

At the risk of opening old wounds, I will share what I just found on the internet.
I love controversy to liven things up on the Forum.
The Romans only WROTE IN CAPITAL LETTERS.

The U.S. military changed its 150 year old policy of writing in CAPITAL LETTERS only.

Things have moved on since the Romans... the internet arrived!! where posting in capital letters is always considered shouting. **xXx**

The capital letters usage in the US Army was a necessity. Most of the officers and all of the grunts could only write in capitals.
How's that for controversial? @&@

Roger, I believe your original sentence (hung, drawn and quartered) was commuted to 5 days in the stocks.

What did the Romans ever do for us? Once they progressed from writing on rocks, they developed New Roman Cursive which had evolved by the Middle Ages into lowercase script.
