Way back in issue 29 (yes, I know it was a long time ago, but I've only just found the pictures), Richard Brewerton wrote a very interesting account of his home-built change machine, called Penny Falls. The machine is built in the style of a Whales allwin, and as you can see, is very well designed and constructed. The front 'playfield' features a waterfall, and when in operation, pennies come cascading down the front, into the allwin-style payout cup.
