It's an exceptional location and very fine pier which has enjoyed better fortune than most of its contemporaries. Love the kiosks. The pier's website includes these evocative images:

Oh wow! Thank you for this information; yes! I love the pier itself and it'll only be a stone's throw from my new home, which is also a winwin. Funnily enough I've gone like a fine tooth comb through that website (mostly dreaming of what I could do on there!) and never saw these photo's, just the postcard ones. I really should go to Specsavers! This has proved exactly what I was told by the Pier attendant. Can't thank you enough.

Fantastic news! I love that little pier. You can chill out and enjoy hearing lots of stories and you won't have any competing attractions!
Hope you have a good summer and I look forward to visiting next time we tour your coast (on bike hopefully). Best regards Chris @ Old Penny Memories Bridlington.

Thanks and YES! First on the 'must be done' list!
Thank you! Yes, it's a lovely relaxed pace pier, one of the reasons I wanted on there in the first place (and the views of course). The Mrs is always pestering me to do a 'life on the pier' video for YouTube! You'll be more than welcome; it'll be great to put a face to a name.chris roadhog wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2024 8:46 am Fantastic news! I love that little pier. I would like to wish you all the best with the opening of your new arcade. I truly know how much work and money it takes to open a new arcade.
If I can be of any help with advice please just ask.

Thank you so much Peter. As someone who's attended your wonderful arcade before, I can't thank you enough for your offer of any assistance. I'm at that point where I'm thinking 'what have I done??' But I'm sure this is just nerves setting in!
You may not remember me, but we met at EH and Coventry, and I'd mentioned knowing Ray (from Towyn) well (who I'm sure will come in handy when setting up too!)

Wish you all the very best Chris in your new venture. What a great place to have an arcade. Do you know if the pier is on the statutory list of buildings/monuments of special architectural or historic interest; i.e. listed?
