Slots in the following auctions....

Post by cheeky »

A few other treats coming up at an auction house somewhere near you.... or maybe not!

A nice mutoscope and some stereoscope viewers coming up at the Auction Room Brekker on 29.03.2014. Bidding live is an option with this German auction house.

Charterhouse Auctioneers in Sherborne have got an old Buckingham Bandit (Lot 678) for auction on 19/03/2014

Addisons Auctioneers in Co. Durham have a Jennings bandit (Lot 676) for auction on 20/03/2014

Reeman Dansie in Colchester have an old penny Bryans Bullion (Lot 3674) for auction on 18/19th March 2014.

Nothing for me here but something here might wet the appetite of a few cheeky bidders and it would be greedy not to share! !!THUMBSX2!!

Viewed the Bullion yesterday, second time this has been there and did not sell previously.... Missing cash door, Bullion sign, glass, payout cup/tray and has a horrible stain on it. Oh, it's also locked and with a big estimate considering the 20% fees.

The Comet looks terrible, again big estimate for these. As Daveslot says, the Buckingham is junk and Germany just too far....

Still there is always Coventry and the Elephant.

Before everyone drools over the Jennings, it is a crap recased Galaxy with a very optimistic price of £250 plus commission etc... Scrap value only.

You boys are so critical. I looked at the Bullion. It was open when I saw it. I think I may have found a secret bidder! They've got a fairground horse at Colchester too. I didn't see it though so might take a look tomorrow.

I was the under bidder for a recent Wonders 9 pins last week. A bit gutted. Did anyone here view it. The cost of those blasted auction fees is so much. :dammit:

I think it was £520 plus 20% commission plus VAT. Then with shipping it would have been around £680. But I hadn't viewed it.

Well Cheeky, I fancied that horse and fortunetly became the underbidder, as with commision ended up around £2400.....still. I did get the. Poorly advertised Kodak vending machine and stupidly the Bullion.......hope you checked out the insides as I never did.......tell me there was something inside as I have a habit in buying empty boxes
