Carters' Steam Fair
Carters' Steam Fair
I featured Carters' Steam Fair in issue 15 of the mag., and I shall continue with part 2 in the Sept. issue. Here are the pictures from the July issue, which were taken by me back in the 1980s at Blackheath.

Re: Carters' Steam Fair
Who saw Carters Gallopers on Channel 4 last night in the zombie shocker 28 Weeks Later?
Re: Carters' Steam Fair
In April's edition of Old Glory there is an article on Carters Fair: issue no. 242 April, 2010.
It shows the fair being prepared for a show at Pinkney's Green near Maidenhead, making it 30 years of the fair at that site.

Re: Carters' Steam Fair
Just seen an allwin on TV - not sure what type it was. LJ Rich, the BBC QVC presenter was being interviewed in I think her own recording studio and there it was just sitting on the floor behind her. Oh well, it may be another 25 years before I see another allwin on TV. I best go back and sit in front of the screen with my flask of tea and 24 pack of assorted crisps - well, it beats train-spotting !!

Fantastic photos, if they were in sepia you'd never know they were contemporary. I can't make out what it says in the sign .......
