I didn't bid on anything, because I can't collect at the weekend.
If the auction hadn't been moved forward a week, it wouldn't have been a problem.

Restrictions on any kind will always affect some people. Most auctions have the 7 days collection policy. I didn’t bid on the Hanson sale for the very reason they only had a few dates by agreement from the vendor's house I could not make.

Sale results were mixed; fairground stuff, cheap cheap cheap… Most of it went to much higher prices in previous auctions not meeting reserves only to sell this time for pennies. Bandits did not sell well or at all… Allwins were better. Funny how they swing… Maybe the over supply of American machines hitting our shores is having an effect. ;-)

I got a machine I have been after for a while, so happy. Well I will be once I have picked it up, seeing as I bid blind. !OMFG!

I hope someone on here may be able to help me with a problem.

I bought a machine in the 4 Aug sale and because of the restrictions on collection I emailed Steve's recommended courier, Chris to arrange delivery. He came straight back to me with a price which I accepted. I gave him my details for delivery, since when I've heard nothing from him. I've sent him a couple of emails, I've texted him and phoned and left a voicemail and had no response at all.

I've also tried contacting Steve to try and find out a) if the item was collected and b) if it was, whether he was aware of the courier having problems/backlog etc. However he hasn't responded to my emails or voicemails either.

So, currently I have no idea of the whereabouts of my machine or when it might be delivered. And I'm half expecting to see it in the next auction as an uncollected item. Just wondering if anyone else had similar problems or have any ideas how I can actually get in contact with either Steve or Chris?

Hi Vincent. I'm sorry to hear about the problem you've been having. Unfortunately, Steve going incommunicado on his customers has been a recurrent theme. In most cases, persistence pays off, and eventually you should get your machine. I notice that the courier, Chris, has two numbers: (Mobile) 07484 855741 and (Office) 01758 612063. Have you tried both? I'm sorry I cannot offer more help. I removed hyperlinks to Steve's businesses after previous posts on this subject caused a takedown of the site. This topic is now locked.
