Ruffler and Walker Earth Satellite repair help
Re: Ruffler and Walker Earth Satellite repair help
OK, well since nobody seems to own any of the giant R&W Allwins and/or could not be bothered helping out, I managed to track down a local collector with a Fill 'Em Up and tomorrow have access to borrowing the ball release. But would still like to see what the missing spring loaded flap is all about. I've never had the game working so until it's back together I have no idea what that does?

Hi gameswat
This is the ball release from my R&W fill em up.
The spring loaded flap is the payout slide selector.
There is a very good animated video on the forum explaining how this works.

Thanks Dirk but if you check my earlier posting you'll see I need the actual ball release part not the coin trip lever - marked B. I believe the same part was used on all the giant allwins.
But the missing spring loaded flap - marked A - is probably only used on this and The Hat Trick, it's not the coin slide selector as that is intact and much further along the shaft.
My incomplete mech.
A complete mech.

Re: Ruffler and Walker Earth Satellite repair help
Thank you Dirk for offering help! I managed to borrow the part today and knocked two copies up tonight. Quite a complex little bugger so here are basic plans to help the next sucker that BigBritPenny takes for a ride.
I chose not to drill the second hole in the L shaped steel part until after it was totally formed, that way I could match the second hole perfectly to the first. To get all the measurements perfect before bending you'd really need to make a few tests first and I just could not be bothered as not likely I'll ever make another of these in my lifetime.
