Hi All,
Another one I made. I believe the footballer was made between the 1930s/1940s. These were used on the fairgrounds in a Hoop la. People used to put the coins on a little chute and fire the coin onto squares with numbers on them ranging from 1 to 6. Your penny had to hit the centre and not rest on any line. It took me a long time to sort out how to get it working properly. It's now in an aluminium case and a great money-taker. It's one of those machines where everybody has to have a go. I think you can see clips of it on Utube - just type in 'old time penny arcade'.
