Sega Windsor coin lock-out

Post by liamo81 »

Evening.

So, my next question as I try and save this Windsor from the scrapheap if anyone can help...

I understand there is a pin that should come in and out below the coin mech to prevent more than one coin dropping between plays, but don't have one on my machine. Should all Windsors have this?

I assume the part pictured is an electro-magnet that operates the missing part?

Is anyone able to post a photo of this area of their complete machine for comparison please?

Assuming I am missing a part or two, does anyone have any suggestions where to start hunting for the bits?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Liam - hope the pics help pal. Electromagnet is missing the flap pictured BUT I took it off because you just get a vibration from flapping on the magnet when plugged in and it makes a massive difference in noise. Other than that, works fine with coins.

Thanks mate, exactly what I was after, cheers.

Does anyone have that piece knocking about in their spares that they would consider parting with?

Anyone?

Pennywise, do you think you could measure that flap and pin all round please? I'll try and cut something to size if I can't locate one.

What's on the other side of that rivet?

Thanks.

No probs pal, hope it helps. Nothing on the other side, just a small rivet to serve what purpose i don't know. There is also a tiny spring which holds it in place in the machine. I can't let you have this because I have another machine that I need to find all the micro switches to fit back onto the mech. Got them all in the case but on free play at the moment. Be nice to see a pic of the front of yours to see which one you have if you can pal. Need owt else pal just ask - no expert but deffo easier if you have a comparison. !!THUMBSX2!!

Thanks for taking the time to do that mate, great help.

It's in pieces at the moment but will take some pictures in next day or two.
