Great news on the Spring auction.
Just a note on the November one, if you could make it a weekend when I'm off work, that would be great.

Special - always happy to accommodate.........but we don't know when you're off!
I should say, that at this point, I'm not sure that the November event will actually be in November - we may well be pulling it forward to October. But more details of that later in the year. In the meantime, let's all start thinking about what we can rustle-up for the March auction - I think it's going to be a good'un, but we will need some entries!

Well, the Elephant House has released their spring auction date. Can anyone guess when it is?....

I was about to say “FFS”... dirtdog

But then wondered where you got this from, as the email from Elephant today never mentioned it and not on their website. We got an email from Jerry today confirming details about Coventry. !PUZZLED!

Noooooooooooo

Sometimes mine goes into junk, but only had one email today about the fairground sale and the last viewing on Sunday... Well, as we all know, if this is true, there are no winners as people cannot duplicate themselves, both sellers and buyers.

Getting kinda boring ain't it? :NBG:

In the past some have defended him by saying "... well it's a business decision ..." I say, can anyone point out any other auctions he deliberately clashes with?
It's a small hobby, there's no need for anyone to deliberately restrict your opportunities to pursue it.
Still those over on Facebook who have been moaning about Coventry being on Mothers' Day can whitter on twice as much now.

This is the last I heard from EH
Auctions for 2020:
Depending on building works, we hope to hold the first 'proper' auction around late March/April..............
Should building works be delayed, then as a contingency we may hold the auction at an alternative venue not too far from here.

OK - probably a stupid suggestion but looking at how much work probably needs to be done at EH to make it safe and waterproof, I would say it's pushing it to hold auction there in March so how about if the 2 auctions were held jointly at Coventry as one big auction?? Auctioneering duties could be done in shifts and running costs shared. As the EH will be emptied out he won't have any items still there being stored for future auctions so should be doable !PUZZLED!

Are you sure you're not confusing the two emails, as TF suggested?
I received these two emails yesterday: Coventry Spring Auction Sunday 22nd March 2020 and Last Viewing: Vintage Fairground & Slots - Bid Online Now!, but nothing about an EH sale on March 22.

But who would act as referee between Steve and Jerry? :!?!:

And then of course a large awning would need to be erected in the car park to catch all the pig s**t falling from the sky. !OMFG!

Yes, that's exactly what I've done! Perhaps I need to invest in some specs, sorry everyone.

I was also reacting to a verbal snippet passed to me from a different direction recently.
I hope they are both wrong. :tut

There is now an entry form available to download from the website:

http://www.vintageamusementsauctions.co.uk/

I shall be sending out an update to all those on the mailing list, hopefully sometime tomorrow.
In the meantime, just a note for some of our regular vendors who contact me through my personal email address rather than the site address (info@vintageamusementsauctions.co.uk) - that's fine, but please use my gmail address rather than the old tiscali address, because that will bounce!
