Would that be 2p or 3d by any chance? Not aware of 2d coins?! Or am I being thick and completely missed something ?

Geoff, there was a 2d coin produced in the reign of George III (commonly called a cartwheel because it was so thick and heavy) but this was only for one year in 1797. According to the Spink catalogue they can fetch a tidy sum today: more than enough to buy two or three Bryan's allwins.

See that’s what I love about this place. So much new incidental stuff to learn.
So who’s up for converting an allwin to take those? Think of the money you could make….?!

Off tangent, but I’ve got a couple of Ahrens machines with a 2 penny coin slide, mechanical genius :)
