I think Dora Bryan was the headmistress. I think the lady carrying the bandit was the games mistress. According to google her name was Maggie Rennie.

makes sense, the average games mistress at a girl's public school in the 50's WOULD be able to carry a Jennings on her shoulder (plus 2 hockey sticks)
I'm amazed to hear a Bally weighs more than a Continental. The first time I tried to lift one of those I thought it was still bolted to the bench! I once bought two from a guy who lived in a second story council flat(concrete stairs and no lift). I was over 60 at the time and it all but killed me getting them down those stairs, but the guy who sold them was in tears when I left...he hadn't known you could remove the mech when he carried them up the stairs.
