I restored this machine about 15 years ago (hence the "superb condition" !BOAST! ) and sold it to the vendor who put it in last Sunday's auction. Around the same time I bought the sister machine, Sky Divers. Both had remains of grey fleck paint on the wood (probably factory original) but I couldn't live with it and stripped them back to the pine. I've not seen another before or since, but curiously they both got back together for a few hours at the Coventry sale.

It seems there were at least four versions of this game - Beachcomber, Sky Divers, Penny Drop and Pools Scoop - see: Cromptons Wall Machine flyer

Operators' dream machine that I bet in the 60s........ 'Two of a Kind' more like One in a Million!!! :dammit: ..... Or, as said, (was it four or five in 46)... bet it paid for a few tyres on the Bentley mi lady.... or a few days in the Caribbean sipping Jamaican rum man!! :burp:
