Crazy auction weekend

Post by treefrog »

Apart from having to work Saturday and Sunday I tried to follow the two auctions at Cottees and Elephant……overall prices were good for sellers with few bargains…..I even bought a few lots at both.

At Cottees the bandits did well with the figure types at usual crazy money. The War Eagle Chief I am sure was the same that sold at one of the last Coventry auctions in 2019 and was a reproduction machine. Unless I missed something the Rol a top sold for hardly any money £1500 I think, was this the cheapest ever or a wringer !PUZZLED!

At the Elephant, long day of selling, I had to shutdown to go to work half way through second half, but looks like most sold well and I didn’t put a single machine in :#:

Anyway thought overall a good sign for the hobby with so many items selling well , well done to Steve and Cottees !!THUMBSX2!!

It would have been if either:
(a) Anyone else had put it there, or
(b) I'd know about it myself before the sale. !!UHOH!!

So there was another elephant at the weekend. Wonder how many of these exist.
