Aristocrat Sheerline
Hello. I have an Aristocrat Sheerline one arm bandit which works on the old sixpence. It has 3 Poker reels.
It pays out on the lower amounts 3 and 5 but not on the higher amounts.
It has the 5 clicks as described on an earlier reply to someone else.
Can anyone offer advice.
Thank you.
Paul.

Re: Aristocrat Sheerline
If you have had it a while, did it payout the higher awards correctly previously?
If you post pictures of the mechanism outside of the case it may help them resolve it.
Welcome to the forum too.

Welcome on board.
Without knowing how technically minded you are.
I'm wondering how many coins your slide stack holds. Put a pile of coins next to it, it might have been reduced by an operator in the 60s.
Alternatively have any of the springs become detached from the vertical fingers?
If the above means nothing to you, post photos of the front of the mech at the bottom of the coin tube. And also the side of the mech on the right (facing from the front)

Re: Aristocrat Sheerline
Well, it looks as if you have sufficient slides to make higher pay outs and all of the vertical fingers have springs.
You didn't answer aristomatic's question. Has this suddenly started? Did it use to pay out higher? We could do with knowing that.
What happens if you force a 3 Ace Jack Pot? Do you know how to do that by stopping the clock?
So with three aces on the win line, and the clock restarted so the cycle finishes.
Do all of the slides release?
If not ...
Did the corresponding finger pass through all three pay out discs?
If not, why not, what's stopping it?
If so, did it knock the corresponding horizontal fingers out of the way to release all of the slides, if not why?
If having done the above and it's still not behaving, either there is something mechanically malfunctioning or the slides are are dirty and sticking.
If you don't understand any of the above , then shout.

Re: Aristocrat Sheerline
Thank you for the response. I purchased the Sheerline last year. It has never paid out as it should.
It sometimes pays out on completely random combinations and sometimes doesn't pay out at all on winning combinations.
I'm not sure how to try the machine on AAA.
I'm sorry to be vague but I am fairly new to pennymachines.
Thank you.
Paul.

Re: Aristocrat Sheerline
Hello. I have now "forced" the jackpot as you indicated. It didn't pay out initially, so I removed the mechanism from the cabinet to have a look. The jackpot arm was resting on the inner payout wheel but was not going through it. The slightest touch on the arm caused it to go through and the correct 20 coin jackpot was delivered.
I have now tried it several times, but slight pressure on the arm is always needed to get it through. The springs on all the arms look fine as far as I can see.
Any further suggestions please?
Thank you.
Paul
