The case and top flash definitely look BMCo.
In Paul Braithwaite's book there is a Bagatelle listed for BM Co. 1933.

Yes, it's typical of a number of the tall coin-return drop case games made by the British Manufacturing Company of London in the early 1930s. They featured oversized marquees with a variety of different playfield designs, but were almost identical mechanically. Well known examples are Draughts and Butterfly. See also Moving Stars and Pin Royal in the Museum. Nice find. !!THUMBSX2!!

I wonder if the BMCo Bagatelle machine was a precursor of this BMCo playfield:

Can someone ID this vertical allwin pinball?

I'm sure I've seen a similar machine on the forum before but not sure what to search for. Can someone give details, maker, date, please?

It's a BMCo machine from the 30s. BMCo made numerous variations of this type of game - Butterfly is a particularly nice one. Not an allwin as such, I suppose they would be referred to as vertical bagatelle. They would have had rather large top flash pediments, which invariably went missing (as in this example), so it's often difficult to put a name to a particular machine, without another with a pediment or a picture.

An attractive machine, I rather like the bell feature should the ball manage to enter the ring of pins at the top.
